The Easter Dress

Yes, I know Easter Sunday was nearly three weeks ago. I am just a little behind.

You see, I bought the fabric in enough time but with a chaotic March, I had to let it slide. I actually didn't start sewing it until AFTER Easter. And poor little B didn't get to wear it until TWO weeks after the holiday. Oh well, at least I finished.

B wanted a REAL wedding dress. But I told her she was too young for a REAL one so we would have to have pink with the white. She complied, grudgingly. :-)

Here is the finished product :

(a word about the pose: B's preschool teacher showed her ONCE, long ago, how to pose for a picture, now B poses for every picture that way... too funny)

And here are a couple closeups of the machine embroidery that made this dress take so long...

Ok -- now that I have sufficiently stroked my ego, I will get back to real life...

WOW! That's awesome talent!

I also didn't get to wear my "Easter Dress" until last week. That was because I didn't order it in time.

What a beautiful dress! You are so talented. I bet your daughter felt like a princess. Who cares if it was late? You still made a beautiful dress for her with love, it doesn't matter the timing.
