Out of my mind excited!!!

How did I see the Hand of God today?

A new temple was approved by the town council... The most sacred building to a Latter-Day Saint. The place where God walks. We get to build another one. I get to see it happen. It is such a wonderful feeling.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!

Many people have the mistaken idea that going to the temple is an "exclusive" club of sorts. But that is SO not true. Heavenly Father wants ALL his children to go there.

BEFORE the temple is dedicated, it is opened up to the general public to walk through. And I want to take this opportunity right now to invite all my blogging buddies (especially those who are curious) to come walk through this beautiful building with me. Come see why it is so special to me. I will let everyone know, as soon as I do, the dates (which will be a LONG while still)

AFTER the temple is dedicated, it is opened to members of the LDS church in good standing. But being a member in good standing is open to everyone.

This quote has been coming to mind tonight,

"The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done (History of the Church, 4:540)."

I love that quote... it takes me back to my mission days. I'm so excited that the temple was approved and on its way to "erecting" its presence there in your area.

Great invitation and since I'm in good 'ole Sandy UT I'm going to sit back and watch you enjoy! I just enjoyed the Draper Temple earlier this year with our 6 little children and my husband.

Its very exciting that the temple near you home is that much closer! I love to read your blog and to see your love for the gospel be shared with us all.
I think living in Utah my whole life I need to learn to appreciate the temple being so close, it always has been and I am afraid I take that to much for granted. Thank you for helping me see what I have from a different set of eyes.

So excited about another temple in AZ. Thank you for keeping us updated, and I love the way you let everyone know what a special place a temple is and how everyone is welcome to walk through it after it is built. So excited!
I also saw the blog about the Gilbert LDS Temple and I'm going to add that to my list. It'll be great to keep up with the progress. :)

Oh cool! I am surprised my mom hadn't told me! She lives in AZ, down in Chandler, and I moved away from there about six years ago. We still visit on a yearly basis, but I miss the palm trees...
