A Wee Little Bit of Envy

The following statements may be offensive to some people. I am sorry. It is just that when you have multiple boys, you get a thick, sometimes too thick, skin to many crude things.

We were enjoying a nice evening of American Idol last night. At least I thought we were. However, it must have been boring for one of my boys (will not mention who -- for his sake) because suddenly he jumped up, grabbed his crotch and doing the strangest gyrations ever, sang “My weenie is stinging, my weenie is stinging”

Now this is pretty much how life with boys is, so without missing a beat, I told him to scoot himself back to the shower and rinse off all the soap this time. To which admitted he was only kidding. Um, right.

Well, B must have thought it was just the cutest song and dance EVER. Because immediately, she jumped up and began a perfect imitation of her brother. Right down to the song, “my weenie is stinging, my weenie is stinging.”

You should have seen this girls face when one of her brothers announced she “didn’t have one of those and she would have to sing ‘my bummy is stinging’ instead. I thought she was going to cry. But being the good sport she is, she changed the lyrics and got right back into the swing of things.

Yeah. So we turned off Idol and everyone headed straight to bed.

Honestly!

BOYS. Boys. boys.

P.S. I thought most the contestants last night just really fell short. Minus Danny and Chris. Scott did pretty good too, but I was so disappointed in the rest.

I think it is kids in general...Luke has quite the conversations with a little girl friend of his! He has also been really interested in the dog "getting his nuts cut off" lately. I am not sure how he knows anything about any of it, but I guess I am not super surprised since he is the youngest!

I LOVE the things our little ones say when they are mimicking older siblings, or even their parents. Here are a few of my gems: (from a 3 year old girl)

see ya on the flip side (as I leave for work)

bummy-butt, bummy-butt! (dancing after she drops her towel after getting out of the bathtub)

'safelight repair, safelight replace!" (yes, it's that stupid jingle from the radio that she's decided is a WHOLE song. She sings it over and over!)
